Alex Farcet

French passport, feel European, fortunate to have seen a lot of the world.

Born in Spain to French and American parents. Childhood in France, the UK (including a stretch at Summerhill School) and across Africa: Algeria, Côte d'Ivoire, Zaïre. University in the US, then Silicon Valley. A corporate career after that, through Brussels, Hong Kong and Copenhagen.

In my early forties, a health scare sent me back to being an entrepreneur. I founded Startupbootcamp out of Copenhagen and grew it to Berlin, Miami, Hartford and Osaka; great people then grew it much bigger. Later, as a partner at venture-building firm Rainmaking, I launched Raspberry, a private investor network I now run on my own.

Now based in Lisbon, where I also head sell-side M&A at Mendez Nassau (hospitality-focused). Father of two, Olivia and Noah. Mostly Lisbon, some of the year in João Pessoa, Brazil.
